Orchard County Detailing Northern Ireland (OCD-NI) was officially established in January 2010 due to the ever expanding requirement to cater for the care of our growing customer base. Our company ethos is to provide the customer with the highest level of service and satisfaction no matter what the car or budget is. We carry all our work out from our own dedicated premises located in a secure setting and monitored 24 hours a day. At OCD-NI we use only the best products available and can tailor our process to compliment any products that the customer may already use. Recently we have teamed up with Reflection Perfection who is a large manufacturer of detailing products to test and showcase their products, recently becoming their recommended and preferred detailing company in Ireland. We also have affiliations with other Wax manufacturers and are often asked to trial products for leading companies. At OCD-NI we are committed to achieving the best results possible regardless of the car and give the same level of professionalism and care when carrying out work.

As well as detailing services, OCD-NI also have access to a Mercedes-Benz / BMW / Mini approved body shop, using the latest water based paints and low bake oven technology, so we can also carry out any repair work that may be needed from scuffed bumpers to accident damage. We can also refurbish alloy wheels and carry out paint less dent removal with prior appointment.

OCD-NI is situated 15 minutes drive from both Portadown and Newry just outside Tandragee village with easy access to the Motorway from both Belfast and Dublin.

I have been interested in car care since 1996 when I first started competing in car shows. I quickly realised that to get an extra shine, “hand application” was not the answer so I began to machine polish using rotary polishers and various compounds. Over the years I have refined my techniques and approach to car care, to the point where other people started asking me to help them achieve similar results. Five years ago I started to look towards detailing as an active past interest, as I had a constant supply of cars to work on. Eventually, through the wonders of the internet the results that I was achieving became noticed by other people who asked me to look after their cars as well. Because of this, I have strived to push my skills to achieve the best results possible.

Three years ago I met with Clarke who also had a passion for car care. Initially we helped each other to work on a few cars and try out new products and then eventually it became a constant stream of people asking us to prepare and maintain their cars. That is when we decided to make OCD-NI a reality and to become a dedicated business with the focus on maintaining customer cars to the highest possible standards achievable.

I have always had a keen interest in keeping cars clean, this goes far back as I can remember out helping my dad wash our family cars. Through to years my interest has grown into more of a hobby (almost an obsession!). Since I turned 17 and was driving my family car I became even more eager to have my car as clean as possible. When I turned 20 I bought my very first car and my desire for a cleaner, paint perfect car just grew and grew.

Since becoming a member of various “detailing” sites with a vast array of knowledge and advice I bought my first machine polisher. My friends and family began asking me to machine polish their cars since they could see from my very own car what could be achieved. I then met Rollo who strangely had the same obsessiveness as I did.

We began to realise that there is a market for this extremely high level of car detailing so we decided to create a business by taking both our years of experience and knowledge and apply it to customer’s cars. We always have a continuous supply of cars to detail to better than showroom standards and we are enjoying every minute of it.
